McCormack graduated from Pepperdine University in California. She is an Evening Anchor at WFRV in Green Bay. Before joining the station, she worked in the Greater Milwaukee Area at the Hunger Task Force as an Individual Giving Manager for two years and five months. From October 2005 to January 2018, she served at WDJT as an anchor and reporter. Before working for WDJT, McCormack served WPVI in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as a Reporter from October 1997 to October 2005.

She worked for KMBC in Kansas City, Missouri as an anchor and reporter before working for WPVI. Before working in Kansas City, McCormack worked for KWCH 12 as a reporter in Wichita, Kansas from August 1993 to August 1994. Above all, she began her career at WGEM TV in Quincy, Illinois as an Anchor/Reporter/MMJ. There, she also helped launch 24-hour news as a producer/anchor of morning news.

McCormack received her reporting stripes at WGEM in Quincy, Illinois, where she garnered an Edward R. Murrow Award for her live reporting on the Great Flood of 1993. The WBA Awards recognized her for her reporting and writing. Also, the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association recognized her for anchoring the best 10 p.m. newscast of 2013. She has earned an Edward R.
