She began her on-air career in Hagerstown, MD at WDVM. Her stories helped spur the beginnings of a government-sponsored recovery center in Berkeley County, W.Va, and inspired the formation of several coalitions. She reported live from the White House lawn and that was the coolest experience as a rookie reporter.
From there, she moved to Norfolk, Va to work at WTKR/WGNT, the CBS/CW as a fill-in anchor and reporter. While there, she experienced one of the coolest assignments. She had a flight deck of an active Navy aircraft carrier, going zero to 165 miles per hour in two seconds while visiting one of the most dangerous environments in the world.
While working with WPTV, the top-rated NBC affiliate in West Palm Beach, Fla, she was the only reporter to interview his guardian a day after the massacre at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School and also the first reporter to uncover a 911 call made by the accused school shooter Nikolas Cruz.
During her leisure time, you will find her on the beach, tackling her next D.I.Y. home renovation project, binge reading a great book, or learning Spanish. In addition, she is the Florida First Amendment Foundation and Investigative Reporters and Editors member.
