He also worked at KGWN-TV, the CBS affiliate in Cheyenne, Wyoming. While there, he worked as a weekend meteorologist. Prior to arriving in Cheyenne, Wyoming, he joined KRDO NewsChannel 13 in Colorado Springs in September of 2001. IN the course of his time there, he served as a weekend meteorologist.

After a period of time there, he worked his way up through the rank. He began as a weekend meteorologist, later he was elevated to the weekday evening meteorologist, to the weekday evening meteorologist. Later in the year, he was promoted to the chief meteorologist. While still there, the American Meteorological Society recognized him as a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist and he became the first meteorologist in southern Colorado.

During his leisure time, he loves skiing and hunting as some of the outdoor activities. In addition to that, he enjoys playing guitar and cooking. He also likes volunteering including at his church, he volunteers as a youth sports coach. He has also volunteers in a number of non-profit organizations.
