Matt, who resides in Massachusetts, graduated from Syracuse University’s broadcast journalism program and chronicled Carmelo Anthony’s ascent to the NBA championship.
Prior to working at WPEC, he worked as a sports director at Sinclair Broadcast Group from 2013 to 2015. He also worked at WWBT NBC12 as a sports anchor from October 2010 to March 2013 prior to working at Sinclair Broadcast Group, while there, he led a two-man sports department and anchored the weekday newscast, produced weekly sports specials, and created 1-2 packages a week for # 1 rated newscast in Central Virginia. Additionally, he was in charge of outlining sports plans for the news department daily. He also filled in as a news anchor for the 4 PM, 5:30 PM, and 11 PM newscasts.
Before Working for WWBT NBC12, he served as a news anchor for CW Richmond from September 2011 to December 2012. Matt’s first television stop. In addition to volunteering with the Boys and Girls Club and Best Buddies in Palm Beach County, Matt is the Chairman of the Annual Clinics Can Help Golf Classic.
