In the 80s when they acquired cable TV, he used to sit and watch CNN and was keen on everything such as the methods gathering of the news and its presentation. This fascinated him back then and still does. Throughout his career, he has secured various awards and accolades. However, he considers meeting people who trust him to share their stories the peak of his profession.
Additionally, his unforgettable encounter is when he served in Cleveland. While there, he fulfilled the desire of Dylan, a 12-years-old who had a rare cancer to meet John Cena as he was a massive wrestling fan. Prior to his death, he got to meet the wrestler at a local hospital. This was a huge honor for Zinni to partake in making Dylan happy.
Prior to WFSB, he served WJW-TV as an anchor and a reporter. During his quarter century with the station, he provided coverage for numerous stories in the community. Incidentally, he grew up watching WJW-TV and it was a dream come true to serve in their newsroom. Further, he served in Cleveland at WKYC and The TODAY Show in New York as an intern.
Nonetheless, his initial professional employment was when he served at WICU in Erie, Pennsylvania in 1997. During his quarter century in Pennsylvania, he served as a producer and reporter. Later, in 1998, he migrated to West Virginia and served at WTOV for nearly half a decade. Moreover, in 2003, he went to Rhode Island and served WPRI-TV as a reporter and morning anchor. While there, he took a liking to the people, the food, the beaches, and everything.
