These are 13 hours of taped interviews given by Fuhrman to writer Laura McKinny between the years 1985 and 1994. The tapes include numerous racist slurs and remarks made by Fuhrman, including misogynist slurs, uses of the word “nigger,” and descriptions of intimidation and harassment of female Los Angeles police officers by male officers. Also, the tapes include descriptions of police brutality perpetrated on black suspects. Some parts of the tape were admitted into evidence during the O. J. Simpson murder trial in the year 1995.

In the tapes, Fuhrman made numerous references to the “planting of evidence”, implying that police brutality and evidence planting were common practices in the Los Angeles Police Department.

Fuhrman was sentenced to 3 years’ probation and was fined $200. He is the only person to have been convicted of criminal charges related to the Simpson case. He completed his probation in the early 1998s, and his felony charges were expunged after one and a half years.
