Kramer serves as the Chief Political Correspondent at WCBS New York. On joining WCBS in 1990, she started off by serving as an investigative and political reporter. While working at WCBS, she hosted a “Sunday Edition with Marcia Kramer”, a Sunday morning political show. In this show, she conducted interviews with national and local politicians as well as discussions with fellow editors and reporters. She launched “The Point With Marcia Kramer” in 2022 a Sunday morning talk show.
Since she joined WCBS, she has unmasked the improper use of sirens and lights by city government officials. She also enclosed a report on people stealing school supplies and later selling the supplies on the black market. She covered a story about schools that served old food to students and unmasked the school board members. In 1992, she interviewed President Bill Clinton among other politicians.
Kramer has won several awards and honors including two Edward R. Murrow awards, two George Foster Peabody awards, and nine Emmy awards. She also won two New York Press Club Golden Typewriter awards. She was first placed for her investigative reports from the Associated Press and was honored by the New York Post and the New York Times.
