Liz Strzepa’s Career
Strzepa is the Anchor/Reporter at NBC5. She is honored to be a member of the station’s talented news team. Before moving up to the Plattsburgh bureau where she stayed for several years, she began her reporting career in 2015, working out of NBC5’s Upper Valley bureau.
There, she reported the aftermath of the 2015 prison break at Clinton Correctional Facility. Currently, she reports out of NBC5’s main studio in South Burlington, where she has reported many stories that have impacted the lives of Vermonters.
Strzepa spent an entire month in the courtroom, getting to know the families of Eli Brookens, Liam Hale, Janie Chase Cozzi, Cyrus Zschau, and Mary Harris the five teenagers killed at the hands of Bourgoin. She loves volunteering, exploring the picturesque small towns across our region, singing, and traveling.
She enrolled at the University of Massachusetts Amherst where she studied journalism. Before joining the station, Strzepa spent time in several newsrooms. Strzepa interned at WPRI-TV in Providence, RI, WGGB-TV in Springfield, MA and WCVB-TV in Boston (NBC5’s sister station.)
In her spare time, she drinks a cup of coffee, at the gym, explores the outdoors with her dog, attempts to cook, learns a new song on the piano, or cheers on Boston sports teams.
