She went to Texas A&M University where she attained her Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism in 2003. Liepman serves as the 5, 6, and 10 p.m. news anchor at KCEN-TV based in Temple, Texas. She kickstarted her journalism career working at KBTX-TV where she served as a news reporter. Her next stop was at WSHM-TV in Western Massachusetts where she served as the Main Anchor.
She left WSHM-TV and joined WINK-TV in Ft. Myers, Florida where she served as the Morning and Noon Anchor. During her tenure at WINK, she was in charge of anchoring historic coverage of the final NASA shuttle launch. Her next stop was at WMTW-TV in Portland, Maine where she served as the Weekend Anchor. She later joined CBS Austin News where she served as the Breaking News Anchor.
Since she started her journalism career, she has won several awards and honors including a Lone Star Emmy nomination for her segment, “Seeking Justice: Austin’s Sex-Trafficking Triangle.” She also won five Emmy nominations, an Edward R. Murrow Award, an International Telly Award, and a “Music Friendly Community” designation from the Texas Music Office. She started the Cindy Walker Foundation in 2022 which is a non-profit in Mexia whereby she helps in promoting and preserving the legacy of Country Music Hall of Fame Songwriter Cindy Walker.
