On joining the station, she started off by serving as the weekday morning anchor and reporter. Prior to working at WRAL-TV, she worked at WOWT-TV based in Omaha where she served as a reporter and anchor from January 2014 to July 2016.
Tillett had previously spent 7 months working at News 12 Networks where she served as an anchor and general assignment reporter based in Brooklyn, New York from June 2013 to December 2013. In addition to that, she also worked at Village Health Works where she served as a freelance video journalist in February 2013 based in Kigutu, Burundi. From September 2012 to December 2012, she worked and interned at News 12 Networks where she also assisted reporters in the field.
