She had the honor of riding with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, pushing 7Gs, and respecting the fighter pilots who fight for and defend the country. She also rode along with the KC-135 Air Refueling Squadron and saw the beautiful Bay Area from a Blackhawk helicopter. Moody was the first female civilian to skydive from a CV-22 Osprey. In addition to that, the Special Operations Command’s Parachute Team took her 12,000 feet up into the air for a skydiving adventure that she will never forget and the brave men and women at MacDill Air Force Base took her on some wild rides.

Moody enjoys covering stories on Good Day Grads segments where she shares stories of high school seniors about to graduate. They talk about adversity and peer pressure and tell the stories of those who have fought the hardest to get their diplomas. Her favorite segment to do is Kid Wit, it is sort of a play on what Art Linkletter used to do. They talk with second and third-graders about whatever. She says you never what you’re going to get with kids, but it’s guaranteed to be magic when the pieces all come together. In addition to that, she also works with the March of Dimes as co-chair of the March for Babies.
During her leisure time, she likes watching the Tampa Bay Lightning play. In 2008, she traveled up to snowy Philadelphia to cover the run for the World Series and the American League Championship Series.
