Evans is the host and producer of KGW’s unique lifestyle show, Hello, Rose City. Before she worked at KGW in 2014 and as a fill-in traffic and weather anchor on KGW News at Sunrise in 2020. She has spent almost 2 decades working in Portland and Seattle.
She began her career as the overnight news anchor for KXL radio, at the end moving on to host Portland’s Afternoon News. Evans also worked for KEX, KOIN, and KIRO Radio in Seattle.
Also, she works as a fill-in host for The Newsworthy, a national, daily news podcast. For 2 years she studied Sociology at the University of Oregon and Radio Broadcasting at Mt. Hood Community College.
She has worked on the Board of Directors for William Temple House, a food pantry and a Portland nonprofit that provides free/low-cost mental health counseling since 2018. Since 2021, she has been President of the Board. When she’s not working, she’s either hanging out with her nieces and nephew, or trying to coax her cat Big Guy onto a leash, or at a Portland Pickles baseball game
