She has spent her time on the road as she was covering the Middle East where she was reporting from Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Iraq, and Syria. The year 2006 saw her and her BBC colleagues covering the war between Hezbollah and Israel where they won an Emmy for international news coverage.

Later on in the year 2008, she left her post in Beirut, a city that made her the journalist she is to date, in order to become the BBC’s State Department correspondent based in Washington, D.C. For about six years, she travelled regularly with Secretary o State: Condoleezza Rice, Hillary Clinton, and John Kerry. Additionally, she has the honour of being recognized by publications like Monocle for her State Department reporting.

She counts it a privilege that her work has been published by several magazines and publishers. Among them includes The Washington Post, The Daily Beast, Time magazine, and The Atlantic. She regularly and mostly speaks on American television and radio and at special events on Middle East issues and American foreign policy.
