He was brought up by Jack Ogle, his father, Oklahoma Hall Of Fame broadcaster, and Karen Ogle, his mother along with his two brothers, Kent Jacob Ogle and Walter Kelly Ogle. His father is a veteran television journalist who worked for NBC affiliate WKY-TV (channel 4, now KFOR-TV) as a news anchor and later news director from 1962 to 1977. Jack Ogle was born in 1930 and passed on in 1999 and his mother on the other side was born in 1947 and passed on in 2000.
Kent was born on June 11, 1960, and Kelly was born on September 24, 1961. Ogle is the elder brother of three and all followed their father into the broadcasting industry.

He attended Edmond Public Schools at Edmond Memorial High School where he graduated with his High School Diploma in 1977. From there, he joined Kansas State University on a basketball scholarship. In 1978, he left the Kansas State Wildcats men’s basketball team for personal reasons. Later he joined Oklahoma State University to pursue his career course. After completing his studies there, he graduated with a degree in Journalism.

Ogle is an Emmy award-winning anchor and reporter at KFOR-TV in Oklahoma City. He joined the KFOR News team as a weekend anchor and weekday reporter. Ogle serves the station as a lead anchor where he anchors 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. weeknight newscasts alongside Joleen Chaney. He also moderates a political affairs talk show with Mike Turpen and Todd Lamb, Flashpoint, and has worked in radio and print.
Prior to joining the KFOR News 4 team, he worked at CBS affiliate KFSM-TV in Fort Smith, Arkansas. His career also took him to Chickasha, Oklahoma to work at KWCO and to Lawton, Oklahoma to work at an ABC affiliate KSWO-TV.
Throughout his career, he has won several awards and honors. In 1988, he was nominated for an Emmy for his feature Power of Prayer. He also received the 2004 Outstanding Achievement Award for Best Feature on his reporting of Survivor’s Story from the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters. In addition to that, he was honored with a Heart Land Emmy for the commentary: “A Real Oklahoman”, an update of his father Jack’s commentary from 1984, and another one for his special: “Survivor’s Story”.
