He later started working in several radio stations in Neillsville and later joined WAXX-WAY in 1981 serving as a reporter and news anchor and later as a news director.
After working at WAXX-WAY for 15 years, he joined B-95/Moose Country/Z-100/Rock 92.1 where he served as a news reporter and anchor. While still working at B-95/Moose Country/Z-100/Rock 92.1, he also served as a news director for over ten years. Moreover, he also worked at the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel where he served as a part-time correspondent for almost 18 years. He has won several awards and honors for Excellence in Broadcast Journalism.
