Having the opportunity to go to Penn State to report the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal is her most memorable reporting experience. She reported the fall-out, the trial, and Sandusky’s conviction for weeks while at State College.
Zachry was among the reporters who earned an Emmy award for reporting the difficult story. Zachry has reported also at news stations in Hartford, Connecticut, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Roswell. She is a member of the Students Run Philly Style, an organization that pairs city students with running mentors who, through race training, help students improve their grades and overall lifestyle
