In New Orleans, Loftus covered the Saints, Pelicans, LSU, and Tulane, among other sports in the Crescent City– capped off by the historic season the LSU Tigers had to win a National Championship and Joe Burrow winning the Heisman Trophy.
Prior to working for WGNO ABC26, she worked in Roanoke, Virginia, and Hagerstown, Maryland sports department working as the Weekend Sports Anchor/ Reporter for 5 years and 4 months. Loftus initially served WHAG for five years as a Sports Reporter before becoming the weekend Sports Anchor/ Reporter in December 2007. In February 2010, she changed her position to working as a sports director.
