Coleman is a weekday anchor and reporter for WICU-TV / WSEE-TV. She considers it a great privilege and responsibility to bring viewers the stories that matter each and every day. She knew television news was the place for her when a college professor told her a good journalist is nosey and talkative. After beginning her career at WXVT in Greenville, Mississippi, she moved to work at WCTI in New Bern, North Carolina where she anchored a morning and noon show.
While Kara loved the charm of the South and the warm weather, she missed home and moved back to Erie in 2010. During her free time, you can most likely find her chasing around her three little boys. She also loves giving back to her community and proudly serve as an advisory board member for Big Brothers Big Sisters of NWPA and Hooked on Books for Kids Erie. She also enjoys reading, cooking with her husband, running, drinking coffee, and traveling. To date, she has completed 7 half-marathons and finished her first marathon in Pittsburgh in May 2022.
