Logan is a weekday morning meteorologist for FOX 56 News. He joined the station’s Weather Authority as a morning meteorologist. Before joining the station he worked at WAVE 3 in Louisville for three years. He was promoted to chief meteorologist in January 2023. His lifelong passion for weather was sparked by a tornado outbreak while he was attending elementary school and ever since Justin wanted to be a broadcast meteorologist to keep people safe during severe weather.
While at Western Kentucky University, Justin was part of the storm team and the award-winning student newscast, NewsChannel 12. After graduating from college he joined KAIT-TV (the first time around) in November 2008 as a weekend meteorologist. He then moved to work at WTVM-TV followed by working at KAIT-TV. Afterward, in October 2018 he moved back to Kentucky where he joined the WAVE 3 Storm Tracking Team.
Logan has experience covering and forecasting tornadoes, a few tropical storms, and winter storms. Covering severe weather to the FOX 56 Weather Authority Justin brings valuable experience. He is certified by the National Weather Association and holds their Broadcast Seal of Approval and his favorite type of weather is snow. During his free time, he is either catching his favorite TV shows, being involved with his church, spending time with friends and family, or watching his beloved Kentucky Wildcats.
