Hubbard serves KDVR as a co-anchor of FOX31 Denver News at 5, 9, and 10 p.m. alongside Erika Gonzalez. He rejoined the FOX 31 team in 2011. Additionally, he has served the station for more than a decade. Since his return to the station, he has traveled and reported from more than 50 countries worldwide. For instance, in 2021, he reported from Russia and Ukraine while in 2020, he went to Kosovo to profile Colorado National Guard troops posted there.

Also, he traveled to Afghanistan to profile Colorado Air Force reservists. Second, returned to the front of Vietnam with local veterans. Third, traveled with World War II heroes to Normandy, Pearl Harbor, and the Pacific Islands. Moreover, his reporting for the station has taken him to North Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Bosnia, China, Israel, and the West Bank.

Prior to his second stint at FOX31 Denver, his initial stint with the station was when he served from 2004 to 2007 as the weekend anchor. In 2007, he left for ABC News and went on to serve as a New York-based anchor and correspondent. Further, he served as co-anchor of ABC’s national early-morning newscasts, “World News Now” and “America This Morning.”

Further, he served as a reporter for “Good Morning America,” “World News with Diane Sawyer” and “Nightline.” Within this, he went across the country and overseas to provide coverage for breaking news, drastic weather, the economy, and politics for the network. In addition to that, he has accumulated more than 50 Emmy Awards from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences/Heartland Chapter.

Counting, eight Emmys for his anchoring. The Colorado Association of Broadcasters for Best Anchor awarded him both the Emmy and the Award of Excellence in 2020 and 2021. To boot, he’s been praised with a national Edward R. Murrow Award from the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA), and the national Sigma Delta Chi award from the Society of Professional Journalists.

Furthermore, he has attained seven regional Edward R. Murrow Awards. In 2018, his broadcast of veterans assisted FOX31 to attain the prestigious “Celebration of Service to America” Award from the National Association of Broadcasters. Currently, he serves on the Board of Governors of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences/Heartland Chapter as the president

On a side note, he enjoys spending time volunteering in the community. Also, he serves on the Denver Metro Advisory Board of the Salvation Army. Withal, serves on the advisory board of Shimmering Wings, a non-profit that sends mourning children to Camp Erin, a summer camp to assist bear with the death of a parent, sibling, or other close family members.

In addition, he volunteers his time serving alongside The Greatest Generations Foundation, a Denver-based veteran’s charity that returns World War II and Vietnam heroes to the fronts where they served globally. Nonetheless, his career debuted when he served in Wichita, Kansas at KWCH while he was still an undergraduate.

Furthermore, in 2012 he alongside his wife, Taunia Hottman debuted a scholarship in Communication at WSU, to assist aspiring journalists to cater for their education. On top of that, from 1998 to 2004 he served KMBC-TV in Kansas City as a reporter and an anchor. In his free time, he enjoys traveling. On a side note, he has traveled to over 70 countries globally and has gone to all 50 states.
