Rebholz works for WEEK-TV serving the station as an Evening Anchor. She states that she has always called herself a proud “townie” as she was born and raised in Metamora. Prior to joining WEEK-TV, she was working for BUTV News 17 serving the station as a News Anchor / Reporter. There, she worked between August 2015 and May 2016 while she was a student at Bradley University. At that time, she was still involved in a service group directly supporting St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
She states that while she was growing up, she was always into sports and competition and therefore studying spots broadcasting felt like a great fit for her. She added that it wasn’t until her internships with three new stations and the Peoria Riverman that she realized her heart was with local news. Additionally, she stated that it was a dream of hers to work at the station she was raised watching, WHOI, and WEEK-TV.
She has also worked for WMBD News 31 in Peoria, Illinois Area where she served as a Sports News Intern. There she worked between May 2015 and August 2015. Prior to this, she was working for WHOI-TV serving the station as a Special Programs Intern. There, she served between January 2015 and May 2015 in East Peoria. This is in addition to working for the Peoria Rivermen Hockey Club in Peoria, Illinois as a Communications Intern. There, she worked between October 2014 and April 2015.
While at WHOI-TV, she hosted special programs such as Ask the Attorney, and Good Company, among others. She states that she started reporting back in the year 2017 and found a permanent spot at the anchor desk back in 2018. People have seen her face on several broadcasts but she states that her commitment has always been the same.
Away from work, she states that she enjoys taking her son to new places that the Central Illinois area has to offer such as parks, zoos, and playgrounds. Aside from this, she states that she is not sure who likes seeing animals more whether it is her or her son. In addition to this, she loves catching iced coffee from a local spot.
In the course of her journalism career, she has been privileged to win an INBA Best Newscast Award back in the year 2021. She also won a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Social Media Presence back in the year 2019.
