Before serving at KSN, he worked WFLD-TV-Fox Chicago, Chicago as an evening news anchor since October 2013  to August 2017. During his quarter century in Chicago, he co-anchored the station’s political broadcast of the 2014 Illinois Gubernatorial and 2015 Chicago Mayoral appointment.

Also, he broadcasted the 2016 presidential poll. In addition, he served as field anchor for WFLD’s broadcast of the Chicago Cubs 2016 World Series Championship run. Prior to working for Fox Chicago, he served at KAKE-TV for the second time as an anchor since July 2003 to September 2013. Also, while he was serving in Wichita, he was lead co-anchor for the station’s live nonstop broadcast of the BTK serial killer’s apprehension, indictment and conviction.

Moreover, Hardon is one of the two TV correspondent to cross-examine BTK, Dennis Rader while imprisoned at Sedgwick County Prison.  Upon joining the station he first served as a weekend sports anchor in July 2001 till he was upgraded to work as an anchor for the station. Further, he has served KTKA ,Topeka as a weekend sports anchor for a year and a month since July2000.

Last but not least, he had worked for KAKE-TV, Wichita in April 1997 as a sports photographer and a reporter for 2 and a half years. In his career, many times he has been awarded by the Kansas Association of Broadcasters for news reporting and gained the Heartland Chapter Emmy  four times.
