Janice Dean is a Canadian Meteorologist/Author/Producer/Host/Anchor working with the Fox News Channel(FNC) where she serves the station as a Senior Meteorologist where she joined the FNC team in January of 2004. Additionally, she is the morning meteorologist for FNC’s signature show, Fox and Friends which airs weekdays from 6-9 AM/ET. Additionally, she also makes contributions to FOX Weather, Fox News Media’s free ad-supported streaming television(“FAST”) weather service.

She has been suffering from multiple sclerosis(MS) where she had her first MS episode in the year 2005. MS is an unpredictable and often disabling immune-mediated disease of the central nervous system. This was caused after the most active hurricane season in history. This was the year of hurricanes from hurricanes: Katrina, Wilma, Dennis to Rita, and Emily hurricanes. She had therefore worked for long hours and was feeling overwhelmed, stressed, and tired from the devastation they were seeing on tv.
Unfortunately for her, little did she know that her body was dealing with its own neurological storm, one that had been forming for years. She, therefore, decided to take time off and get some rest. n her first day of vacation, she woke up to numbness in her feet and parts of her legs. She was feeling like she could not get out of bed and had no idea of what was wrong.
As a result of the MS disease, she had lesions on both her brain and spine. Her spinal tap had also shown the protein they look for in MS patients. She tweeted that it is the disease that had caused some weight loss in her body on the 14th of January 2019.
