Being among El Paso’s most honored journalists, Apody was named the 2005 Sportscaster of the Year by El Paso Inc. She kickstarted her journalism career working as a sports producer for the KNBC station located in Los Angeles where she counts it a privilege to have covered the NBA and the Lakers. This is in addition to the team’s memorable 3 straight NBA Championships. She has also covered the Angels’ World series title and the Ducks’ run to the Stanley Cup Finals.
Away from work, she is serving as the Co-Chair of the Gary Papa Run and also on the Board of Directors for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. In addition, she is a proud member of Phi Beta Kappa and a 2-nd Degree black belt in karate.
