Before KOAA, he served the NBC affiliate in Charlotte, North Carolina as a morning show anchor. Moreover, he served WCNC as a sports anchor. In addition to that, he served in Salt Lake City at KSTU Fox 13 as a sports anchor in 2001.

During his stint in Salt Lake, he provided coverage for the professional and college sports beat in Utah. Also, he anchored sports on weekends. Further. he served at KSL-TV (NBC) in Salt Lake City, starting as a sports intern. Later, he served as an editor and news photographer. While there, he provided coverage for the Atlanta Olympics. When he is not working, he chases his kids and tries golf.
