Mills joined KWGN in March 2015 and began as a breaking news anchor offering viewers spot news, political insight, big talkers of the day, and viral video moments. While there, she developed and branded her own segment  “Ask The Trainer.” Each week she featured a question from a viewer and gets answers from a fitness expert. In July 2016, she elevated to a traffic anchor for Daybreak. She continued to craft her weekly fitness segment, and also a new segment “Unique To Colorado” which featured people and places that are special to the Centennial State.

Mills also worked at KOB-TV in Albuquerque, New Mexico. During her working time there, she served the station as a morning and noon anchor for two years and ten months from March 2011 – December 2013. She began as the evening weekend anchor and reporter for the NBC affiliate. While there, she covered a variety of news from the DOJ investigation into Albuquerque’s Police Department to the devastating fire in Los Alamos. A year later, she was promoted to morning anchor where she developed her own weekly segment, Hometown Heroes. Each week she featured someone making a marked difference in the community.

During her leisure time, she usually likes rooting for the Dodgers and the Golden Knights, traveling to Central America,paddle-boarding Lake Mead, as well as hiking in the mountains. She is quite an adventurer at heart.
