Heather Hope is an American Reporter/Anchor working with the CBS 8 News team in San Diego where she serves the station as a General Assignment Reporter since July 2015. Prior to CBS 8, she was working with KWTV, a CBS affiliate station located in Oklahoma City.

She kick-started her career working with the KGET-TV team located in Bakersfield, California. There, she was serving the station as a multimedia journalist where she was specializing in breaking news. Additionally, she was also focusing on crime stories, political, and environmental stories.
While at the University of Southern California, she was serving the University as a reporter/anchor for Annenberg TV News. She also shot a documentary for her graduate thesis while profiling religious leaders in Los Angeles where she was screening at the California African American Museum. Additionally, she was also interning at the KNBC-TV team located in LA in the investigative unit and also wrote web stories. Additionally, she also gained experience in international reporting while interning for CBS News London Bureau.
Away from work, she enjoys shopping and traveling the globe. She is also a passport holder since she was three years old. Heather counts it a privilege to travel to Holland, Guam, Ireland, Wales, China, Germany, Scotland, France, Wales, and Spain. Hope is a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists. She states that she is happy to explore all the beauty in their country and what it has to offer. She is also thrilled to call San Diego home.
