Harmony Mendoza is an American Meteorologist working for WVTM13 in Birmingham, Alabama, in the United States as a Weekend Morning Meteorologist/Midday Meteorologist/Traffic Anchor. She joined the station in May 2010. She previously worked at WRBL News 3 in Columbus, Georgia Area as a Morning Meteorologist before joining the station.

Mendoza is a Weekend Morning Meteorologist/Midday Meteorologist/Traffic Anchor for WVTM13. Since she joined the station she has seen central Alabama through record-breaking historic weather events including the April 27 Super Tornado Outbreak in 2011. What sparked her curiosity about how powerful and dangerous weather can be was the 1985 Hurricane Elena storm.
The weather has always been a large part of Harmony’s life, but nothing compares to what she and the WVTM 13 weather team witnessed on April 27, 2011. She says the state has been forever changed and the way we prepare for severe weather is now front and center in most Alabamians’ minds.
During her free time, Mendoza enjoys going to area schools and talking to kids about severe weather awareness, and serving on the Black Warrior River Keeper Advisory Counsel. She also loves dancing, concerts, singing, and all things sports but mostly watching her son grow into a man.
