Moreover, she has assisted law enforcement spot human trafficking, revealed weaknesses on the international boundary line, and fought to get numerous people justice when it seems they have nowhere else to turn.
Upon her graduation from college, she went on to serve near her hometown in Dothan, Alabama as a reporter. Later, she got raised to serve as an anchor of the morning and noon newscast. For nearly five years, she served in the Southeast. In January 2010, she headed to Texas to serve at KRGV in the Rio Grande Valley for 6 years and 6 months.
Moreover, her in-depth stories broadcasted topics counted human and drug smuggling, high-speed police chases, spillover violence from Mexico, human trafficking, immigration, police and government corruption, and environmental dangers. In addition to that, she changed three documentaries as an investigative journalist and broadcasted the environment, social justice, and international relations.
Additionally, she has awards such as a national Society of Professional Journalism Award for Public Service in Television Journalism, a state Headliners Foundation Award for Enterprise and Innovation, various Associated Press awards, and a regional Edward R. Murrow. Else, she was nominated for a regional Emmy award twice.
Further, she hopes to all investigations tell a story to which we can relate and bring the voiceless out of the shadows and empower the community. Also, she serves as a vlogger where she video blogs on her two YouTube channels about the lighter side of her life. When she is not working, she runs an Austin trail, mountain bikes, cycles, swims, or plays any sport she can find.
