While in high school she developed her interest in television, taping the morning announcements and thinking of creative ways to tell people what was going on but also to try to get a laugh. Her first television job was in Oak Hill, WV where she served as a weekend “weather person” and reporter during the week. While in the station Elizabeth learned so much including editing, shooting, and producing which helped her appreciate the whole process that goes into putting a newscast together.
Afterward, Elizabeth moved to the North where she worked in Charleston, WV. She stayed in the station for almost 8 years working her way up the ladder until she became the main evening anchor. While there she covered numerous stories including the UBB mining disaster where 29 brave souls lost their lives. Before coming back to Fox 8 News in Cleveland as the 7 o’clock anchor Noreika worked in Boston as an anchor and reporter.
