During her college years, she served as a competitor in pageants to attain public speaking experience and scholarship money. Further, she landed a spot in the Miss Arkansas pageant four times and made the Top 10 twice.

Additionally, he represented her school as Miss Arkansas State University. On most weekends, she could be found in the fall on the sidelines of the football field as a spirited and proud Red Wolves Dancer. Nonetheless, she began her journalism career when she served in Jonesboro as a weekend anchor and reporter at KAIT-TV.

Later, she was raised to serve anchor on the morning newscast for two years. For three decades, she served in her hometown as an anchor in the company of her mother. Moreover, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and attempting new things.
