Prior to his music career, he worked in the field of sanitation. He started off his music career at Dance Across Texas in Austin as the lead singer for the house band. In 1996, he was signed by Curb Records, and released his very first album called Goodnight Sweetheart was released on October 1, 1996. Brad Paisley wrote “Another You” which featured the No. 3 and the No. 11 “Day In, Day Out” in the album.
Kersh released his second album called If I Never Stop Loving You which was released on February 17, 1998. In 1999, he had to stop his music career due to a strain on his vocal cords. He later publicized that he has left his music career completely in 2005.
