Edelstein became a part of the WJTV 12 News team as a Sports Anchor/Reporter in April 2022, transitioning from seven years spent in Central New York. Before his move to Mississippi, David served as the Sports Director at WUTR/WFXV/WPNY in Utica, NY. During his time there, he covered a wide range of sports events, from the National Baseball Hall of Fame to the Utica Comets’ historic season in the American Hockey League.
His portfolio includes extensive coverage of college and high school athletics, as well as profiling local athletes across various levels. David also gained valuable experience working with NBCUniversal during the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics, as well as covering Syracuse basketball and football for OrangeFizz.net on The Score 1260 CBS Radio.
