Prior to this, he worked for FBN’s program Bulls & Bears as a host on weekdays at 5-6 p.m. Also, he served FBN’s After the Bell as a co-anchor on weekdays at 4-5 p.m.

Further, he has worked for the Fox News Channel as a weekday anchor on “Fox News Live.” Moreover, in 2005 he was dubbed head of the Fox News Channel’s documentary department. While serving as head of the department, he hosted various investigative specials, counting Global Warming: The Debate Continues and U.N. Blood Money.

Additionally, the program had three parts  and analysed the oil-for-food dispute. Before working for the Fox News Channel, he worked as an editor for features for the Wall Street Journal since 1995. Upon joining the newspaper in 1983, he first served as an editorial writer.

During his quarter-century as a writer, he edited on the “Americas” and the “Manager’s Journal” column. To boot, he wrote editorials and more than 100 items from Latin America and elsewhere. Furthermore, in 1994 he was termed senior editor for the Journal’s editorial page within which his role was merged with administrative responsibilities.

In 1986, he gained the 1986 Inter American Press Association’s (IAPA) Tom Wallace Award for coverage of Latin America in the Americas column. Further, he was the editor for “The Wall Street Journal on Management: Adding Value Through Synergy.”

 Additionally he gained the IAPA’s Daily Gleaner Award 1992 for his item on free trade and in 1995 for his item on Cuba and Mexico’s economy. Nonetheless, his career began in 1978 where he worked for Prospect Magazine  as an assistant editor. Within a year, he was upgraded to become an executive editor. In addition, in 1980 he was employed by George Gilder to commence an economic journal for the Manhattan Institute.

Also, he has been a radio commentator for Perspective on the Economy. On top of this, he has been a consultant to the Ford Foundation on African organizations in the United States. Last but not least, he has worked as a host of Issues USA which is a televised public affairs show that airs at night.
