Before returning to the Tucson community, Spindle served as a television news reporter/anchor for KSL Today and KSL News at Noon (April 2019 to November 2024). Prior to that, he was the anchor for ABC15 Mornings from 4:30-7:00 am and ABC15 News at 11 a.m., covering major Arizona stories including political campaigns and natural disasters.
He also interviewed Ron Paul and Mitt Romney during their presidential campaigns and reported on wildfires, floods, crime trends, and Arizona sports stories. Additionally, he led franchises like “Operation Safe Roads” and the “Financial Fitness Zone” at KSAZ and KNXV for nearly a decade. Other stations he worked for include FOX10 Phoenix (2010–2013), where he served as a general assignment reporter and weekend anchor, and KOBI-TV NBC5 Medford, Oregon (2005–2006), where he worked as a weekend anchor, producer, and reporter.
Beyond the newsroom, Spindle taught courses as an adjunct faculty member at his alma mater, SCC, in telecommunications. Off-screen, he enjoys playing tennis, watching movies, and pop culture, and loves to explore the Grand Canyon State.
