Lodes is a Meteorologist at KFOR-TV News 4 in Oklahoma City. Prior to joining the KFOR 4Warn Storm team, he worked at WOW in Lawrence, Kansas. While there, he served as a chief meteorologist. He loves his job and treats the weather with the respect it deserves.
His love and passion began at a very young age. He experienced the May 3, 1999, F5 tornado that hit Bridge Creek and Moore solidified his passion for meteorology, math, and physics. Growing up, he knew he wanted to serve the country and be a meteorologist. His first time in front of a green screen was as a first grader at the Omniplex (Science Museum) in Oklahoma City. He recalls wearing a green t-shirt and laughing because you could see through me.
His career began in Midland, Texas working as a Chief Meteorologist. He covered everything from record-breaking snow to strong tornadoes. From there, he became Chief Meteorologist in Lawrence, Kansas. During his leisure time, he likes cheering hard for OU, the Broncos, and the Thunder, as well as spending time with my amazing wife. He considers himself the “World’s Biggest Batman Fan” and loves talking about music, movies, and comics.
In 2021, the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters honored him with Best Weathercast Award for Outstanding Achievement.
