Galny anchors News 3 at Noon for KBTX. She was born and brought up in Bryan and is part of the Bryan ISD Hall of Honor. In September 2000 she worked as a videotape editor at KBTX-TV while attending Texas A&M University, started reporting shortly thereafter, and went on to anchor every show at KBTX. Each year at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum she hosts the Jefferson Awards for the Public. The week she spent in Washington, D.C. reporting from Capitol Hill about local interests is one of her favorite memories.

For her story on Barbara Bush’s scrapbooks, the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters awarded her second place in Best Feature in 2018. Again, the Adoption Exchange Association named her the national Wednesday’s Child Winner in 2011 for her story on “Marcus”. She interned for CNN in the White House and at the U.S. State Department press office before joining KBTX.

From Texas A&M she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism in 2001 and was an executive officer of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority. At Amber Alert Network Brazos Valley she works as an advisory board member of the Sexual Assault Resource Center and is the former president of the local Society of Professional Journalists.
