Prior to joining the WITN News team, she worked at WCIA in Champaign, Illinois. During her working time there, she served the station as a news reporter.
Her journalism career job began in Rockford, Illinois working at WIFR-TV. While there, she worked as a multimedia journalist and Weekend Anchor for two years and seven months. From there, she moved to Champaign where she worked as a fill-in anchor and Lead Reporter for two years. After that, she took a year off to work in real estate from the news.
She grew up playing piano and doing a competitive dance and also competed in the pageant circuit in high school and college. After winning an award for a speech about her experience as a McDonald’s Crew Trainer in high school, she discovered her love of public speaking. During her leisure time, she likes spending time with her rescued calico cat Sandy, watching comedy and musicals, and doing yoga. In addition to that, she cares for her house plants.
