At CNN, she anchored programs on HLN and made appearances on Morning Express with Robin Meade. She also served as the weekend anchor for CNN’s New Day for nine years. Her coverage included significant events such as the GOP Convention in 2016, President Obama’s 2nd Inauguration, and major news stories like the Newtown and Virginia Tech shootings. She founded “Find Our Children,” a partnership with The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, resulting in the safe return of numerous missing children. Before joining HLN, Christi worked as an anchor, consumer reporter, and weathercaster in Phoenix, where she collaborated with the Arizona Humane Society to find homes for abandoned animals. Prior to that, she was an anchor/reporter for KTVB in Boise, ID, where she received recognition for her series of stories about a young girl undergoing a transplant.
