McDonald serves WHDH as a sports reporter. She joined the 7News team in October 2016. Prior to this, she served in New Orleans, Louisiana as a sports reporter and anchor. While there, she provided coverage for the New Orleans Saints, New Orleans Pelicans, LSU, and Tulane. Also, she reported on the NFL Draft, the Senior Bowl, and LSU’s introduction of a new football coach.
Before New Orleans, she served in Savannah, Georgia. Nonetheless, she began her TV career when she served in Cedar Rapids, Iowa as a sports reporter and anchor. Additionally, she served as a sideline reporter for college and high school football games. When she was still an undergraduate, she served SunSports and WFSU as a sports reporter.
In addition to that, she served as a member of the FSU Cheerleading squad for four years. To boot, she served as a co-captain for one season. Moreover, she serves as a member of the National Association of Black Journalists. On a side note, she is thrilled to trade gumbo for clam chowder!
