While working with the Oklahoma Guard, he served there for twenty-six years. For twenty years of those, he worked as an Instructor and an Army pilot.
In the course of his time working with the Oklahoma National Guard, he served overseas and during countless missions across the nation. He supported the war on Homeland Security, disaster relief, as well as terrorism.
His passion for becoming a pilot began ever since a tender age. He always dreamt of being a pilot and he never stopped pursuing that dream. Rutledge says that he believes that doing his “dream job” at KOCO 5 has been prepared by accomplished by the experience he has acquired.
