In the course of her time there, she produced segments on the important news events in Latin America. In addition, she worked for the Telemundo Network and collaborated with the production crew of Premios Billboard, the Spanish version of the Billboard Music Awards.
Cardona also worked as a reporter and producer after being accepted to the internship program at Univision Network. Later she was offered a job as a producer for Primer Impacto after completing the 10-week program. It was a daily live news magazine show.
In the course of her time working for Primer Impacto, Cardona worked as a fill-in reporter, a job opportunity she got in a WLTV, the sister station in Miami. For over ten years she worked for both stations. She was fulfilling her dream to report though the work was hard and the days were long.
In 2014, she took on a new challenge after working with Univision Network for over ten years. She headed to Phoenix, Arizona, and left a producer position. There she served as a full-time reporter at the Telemundo affiliate. She was later taken to Philadelphia, in a recently launched newscast at the Telemundo station. Until 2017, she served as a reporter.
