This is his second time working with the KFMB-TV where he was working primarily as a morning reporter between the years 2003 and 2006. It is at this time that he left San Diego in order to take a job as an evening anchor for KMTV located in Omaha, Nebraska where he had learned that the Midwest is much more than “flyover country.”
It is in the CBS News 8 that he grew up as a reporter. He has covered a variety of stories from the Wildfires of the year 2003 to the Duke Cunningham scandal where he has covered it all. Additionally, he also says that he has learned from working alongside the best reporter in town and also forged a commitment to accurate, balanced, and engaging reporting.
He kick-started his career working as a weekday reporter and weekend anchor for KOBI-TV, an NBC affiliate station located in Medford. Additionally, he was also writing, shooting, and editing his own stories and learning what deadline pressure was all about. This job is what led to an anchor position with the KXXV, an ABC affiliate station located in Waco, Texas. This was prior to joining the team in San Diego.
