She first reported in South Texas covering hurricane Dolly and border issues. Afterward, she was hired as a night side general assignment reporter in Phoenix, Arizona.

Britt was the first reporter from her station to cover the horrific shooting outside a Tucson grocery store where 18 people were shot, including US Representative Gabby Giffords. She received a Rocky Mountain Emmy Award for “General Assignment Reporting” when she showed two sides of the nation’s immigration battle by shadowing border patrol agents and undocumented immigrants in the desert. She was promoted to weekend morning anchor during her time in Valley of the Sun.

Moreno’s career later took her to the Rocky Mountain region where she worked in Denver, Colorado as a weekday morning anchor. While there she anchored coverage of devastating wildfires as well as crippling blizzards that shut down the city during extended coverage. She received a 2019 Heartland Emmy Award for “Excellence in News Anchoring.” She also hosted a special that earned the news station an Emmy Award in 2018 for “Overall News Excellence” and hosted another special in 2017 that earned the station an Emmy Award for “Station Excellence.”

While at Trinity University in San Antonio, Britt was able to get in front of and behind the camera hosting and producing a live one-hour weekly entertainment show that aired in San Antonio. She also interned at a local San Antonio news station. She is passionate about supporting wonderful causes that help underserved people as well as supporting local Austin businesses.
