In 2016, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences awarded him an Emmy award for Excellence in Sports Anchoring in Michigan. However, he attained his initial Emmy in 2014 for Excellence in Sports Reporting. Moreover, he attained Emmy nominations in 2012, 2013, and 2017. The Michigan Association of Broadcasters gave him a Merit Award for Best Sportscast in 2014.
During his time with the station, he has gone to NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA, and NCAA locker rooms, and interviewed top athletes and coaches at amateur, collegiate, Olympic, and professional levels. Further, he has served as a contributor to WXYZ’s anchoring as he served as a co-anchor of the 4 p.m. newscast, The Now Detroit, from 2014 to 2015.
