Additionally, she has served the station for more than 2 and a half decades. Further, she has been awarded the Emmy award 5 times, Also, she serves as a host of her own cooking show, “Bite With Belkys” and her Emmy-nominated half-hour specials, “Bite.”
On a side note, she took lessons in piano, ballet, and tap. In addition to that, she is bilingual and debuted her TV career when she served in South Florida as a reporter. While there, she served as a “one-man band” for over years where she shot her own videos and edited her stories. Moreover, she served the ABC affiliate in New Haven, WTNH-8 as a general assignment reporter.
During her tenure at the Miami Fox affiliate, she has provided coverage for big news stories and, up until recently, co-anchored the pop-culture-driven, Deco Drive. On the program, she lightheartedly interviews and has a fun-loving personality which makes everything she does refreshing, witty, and completely original.
