Szalavari works for WEEK-TV/25 News serving the station as a Weekend Morning and Mid-day Meteorologist. He found interest in the ever-changing weather that the Midwest offered from a tender age and this interest never left through the years. During his time while completing his degree, he gained experience as an intern working for WISH-TV and also enjoyed storm chasing when it was possible.
After graduating, Balint began his broadcast career at WLFI in West Lafayette, Indiana working as a Weekend Meteorologist and a Multi-Platform Journalist. After three years, Balint found himself calling Central Illinois home, beginning at 25News in the summer of 2021.
Later on, after his graduation from the University, he went on to join WLFI located in West Lafayette, Indiana where he was serving as a Weekend Meteorologist and Multi-platform Journalist. There, she served between June 2018 and May 2021.
Away from work, he loves exploring the outdoors all across Central Illinois, indulging in the great food offerings in the area, and cheering for his favorite soccer club-Chelsea. In addition to this, he is an avid traveler and has visited more than 35 states and about 10 countries.
