Baracy works as a weather forecaster at WDIV. When she first joined the station she worked as a traffic anchor, general assignment reporter, and fill-in meteorologist. For seven years she worked for WBNS in Columbus, OH as a full-time meteorologist becoming the top and in the end being named the station’s first female Chief Meteorologist.
At that particular time, she earned many Emmy nominations including a win for a severe weather special in 2021. The Ohio Associated Press Media Editors awarded her “Best Weathercast” three times and got selected Best Weather Person in the Columbus Dispatch’s “CBUS Top Picks” for four consecutive years. Getting Buckeye Country to like a Michigan Wolverine was one of her biggest accomplishments.
During her free time, she’s either chasing after her two little ones or monitoring the radar, or most likely watching baseball. She was a top ten finalist in the Miss America pageant and worked as Miss Michigan in 2008.
