Originally hailing from Memphis, TN, Copeland developed a keen interest in meteorology at the age of 14, inspired by witnessing his first tornado during the 2008 Super Tuesday Tornado Outbreak in his own front yard.
He began his academic journey at the University of Memphis, majoring in Broadcast Journalism, before pursuing a degree in Broadcast Meteorology at Mississippi State University. Along the way, he gained valuable experience through internships at WMC-TV in Memphis and WBTV in Charlotte, NC. He then launched his career at WEVV-TV in Evansville, IN, in 2019.
Despite being away from home, Copeland looks forward to engaging with the community in Cleveland, connecting over shared interests such as sports and food.
