Here she anchors Central Ohio’s most-watched morning newscast at 4:25 a.m., 5 a.m., and 6 a.m. Before joining the station, she served as the first journalist in the market to certify as a wildland firefighter at KSL-TV in Salt Lake City. She started her journalism career at KCAL-TV in Los Angeles. She helped create several station franchises since 2000 such as station 10tv’s NextDoor partnership sharing positive stories of people doing good, Gratitude Project, and CrimeTracker 10.
One of her greatest passions is Community service. Dress for Success Columbus named her a “10 of 10 Women Leaders” and was honored with the Driven to Save Lives Award by MADD of Central Ohio. Angela An has obtained high recognition from many organizations, such as the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Associated Press, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Ohio Society of Professional Journalists.
She was invited to an exclusive behind-the-scenes with Jungle Jack Hanna by The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium in New York City during his final appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman. Touring to Sri Lanka to report the deadly Southeast Asia tsunami which showed how humanity can rise above tragedy in 2004 is her most impactful assignment.
She is a member of the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) Advisory Board and the Columbus Council on World Affairs. Also, she was on the board of directors of Canine Companions for Independence, the board of directors for Komen Columbus, and Columbus Fashion Week in which Angela was board president in 2013. Angela An supports the Heinzerling Foundation and Crime Stoppers of Central Ohio. She also established a news magazine program, China Near and Far, based out of New York City. She plays classical piano and has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
